SERENITY VIEW —
Pearce Properties are delighted to present Serenity View, a truly exceptional and individually designed four bedroom bungalow positioned to take full advantage of some of the most breathtaking countryside views that North Dorset has to offer. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a brand-new home of the very highest quality, crafted with the care, pride and attention to detail that has become the hallmark of every Pearce Properties development.
The Property
From the moment you arrive, Serenity View makes a statement. A sweeping private gravel driveway provides a grand and welcoming approach, with generous parking to the front of the bungalow and a detached double garage offering further parking alongside useful additional storage — practical luxury from the outset.
The bungalow has been designed with both elegance and comfort in mind. Constructed in beautiful local Marnhull stone with architectural cast features and rendered elevations, the external appearance is one of timeless quality that sits naturally within the Dorset landscape. The windows, doors and roofline are finished in a sophisticated anthracite grey, complemented perfectly by a Brazilian graphite roof slate that adds a refined, contemporary edge. Integrated solar PV panels are discreetly built into the roof, combining aesthetic integrity with modern, responsible energy generation.
Step inside and the feeling of space is immediate. The heart of the home is a magnificent open-plan kitchen, dining and day room — a wonderfully sociable space flooded with light and designed to make the very most of its exceptional outlook. Two sets of bifold doors open directly onto the rear patio and the far-reaching Dorset countryside beyond, creating a seamless connection between inside and out that will take your breath away morning, noon and evening.
For those moments when a quieter retreat is called for, a separate living room provides a more intimate space, also enjoying tall doors to the rear and that same glorious view. The master bedroom, equally generous in proportion, shares this coveted aspect with its own set of tall rear-facing doors — imagine waking each morning to rolling Dorset countryside stretching as far as the eye can see.
Four bedrooms in total are offered, two of which benefit from private en suite facilities, with a further well-appointed main family bathroom — all finished in quality tiling. Areas of oak flooring add warmth and character, and every room throughout the property has been designed with generous proportions as standard, ensuring a feeling of ease and comfort at every turn.
Practical considerations have been equally well thought through. A spacious utility room and a dedicated plant room house all of the renewable energy and building services infrastructure, keeping everything tidy and out of sight. Outside, a large patio to the rear provides the perfect entertaining and relaxation space, framing those stunning views in the finest possible way.
Every element of Serenity View has been built to Pearce Properties’ exacting standards — a commitment to quality that runs from the foundations upwards and ensures a home built not just to look beautiful, but to perform and endure. The property comes with the reassurance of a 10-year new build structural warranty
About Stalbridge and the Surrounding Area
Serenity View sits within reach of one of the most characterful and historically rich small towns in the south of England. Stalbridge is nestled on the eastern slopes of a ridge of Jurassic rock near the Somerset border, overlooking the wider northern section of the Vale of Blackmoor — a landscape of extraordinary beauty, pastoral charm and deep-rooted English heritage.
The town traces its origins at least as far back as the Norman Conquest, featuring in the Domesday Book of 1086, and yet despite its long history it retains a genuine living character, with its historic core of buildings spanning the Late Medieval, Georgian, Stuart and Victorian eras still very much intact. The centre of town is a Conservation Area with many listed buildings, and the long main street runs from the church to a magnificent 15th-century market cross — reputedly the finest in England — standing some 30 feet high in local yellow Ham stone.
Despite its modest size, Stalbridge punches well above its weight in terms of local amenities, with an independent supermarket, dispensing pharmacy, dentist and optician all serving the town and its surrounding rural catchment. There are also well-regarded local pubs, community clubs and sports facilities, giving the town a vibrant, neighbourly feel that so many larger settlements simply cannot match.
The scientist Robert Boyle, one of the founding fathers of modern chemistry, lived in Stalbridge for around six years in the 17th century, having inherited the Manor, and it was here that he conducted some of his pioneering experiments into the laws of pneumatics. It is the kind of detail that speaks to the quiet distinction of this remarkable place.
Connectivity and Getting Around
Stalbridge is situated on the A357, with the nearest towns of Sturminster Newton just four miles to the southeast, Sherborne six miles to the west and Shaftesbury seven miles to the northeast. This central position within the north Dorset and south Somerset border country gives residents easy access to a wonderful range of market towns, each with its own distinct character and offer.
Sherborne, in particular, is a jewel of the region — a historic abbey town with excellent independent shops, highly regarded schools including the renowned Sherborne School, a lively restaurant scene and its own mainline railway station. Shaftesbury, with its iconic Gold Hill and sweeping views across the Vale, offers further shopping, dining and cultural interest. The market town of Wincanton and the Georgian spa city of Bath are both accessible within a comfortable drive.
For rail travel, the nearest station is at Templecombe, approximately three to four miles away, where South West Trains operate an hourly service to London Waterloo, with the journey typically taking around two hours and fifteen minutes — making Serenity View a genuinely viable proposition for those seeking a premium rural lifestyle without sacrificing London access. Bournemouth Airport is approximately 38 miles away and Bristol Airport approximately 41 miles , providing further connectivity for leisure and business travel alike.
A Place to Call Home
The Vale of Blackmoor and the wider north Dorset countryside is a landscape that rewards those who choose to make it their home. Walking, cycling, riding and simply absorbing the remarkable natural beauty of the area are pursuits that define daily life here. The Blackmore Vale’s rolling pastures, ancient hedgerows and unspoilt villages represent a corner of England that still feels genuinely undiscovered — and from the rear of Serenity View, you will have a front-row seat to all of it.
This is a home of exceptional quality, in an area of exceptional beauty. Serenity View represents a unique opportunity to secure a bespoke new residence that truly has been built with no compromise. We invite you to register your interest today.
R. E. Pearce Properties Ltd. are proud members of Premier Guarantee, offering a 10-year structural warranty.
